Creamy Raspberry Sorbet
Recipe
This sorbet might be the best dessert you can make on a hot summer day. It is refreshing, flavorful, full of nutrients, and guilt-free! This recipe is super easy to follow, takes 10 minutes to make, inexpensive, and requires only four ingredients. It takes several hours for the sorbet to get fully frozen, so it needs to be made in advance.
Ingredients:
12 ounces fresh red raspberries
1 small soft avocado
¼ cup maple syrup
Lemon zest from one small organic lemon
Method:
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender or a food processor. Mix it all well until well blended, and the texture is smooth.
Move the mixture into a glass container and place plastic foil right on top, squeezing all air out. Cover the container with a lid and place it in the freezer for several hours (6-8 minimum) or overnight.
Before serving, take the sorbet out of the freezer and let it soften a bit for 5-10 minutes. Top it with fresh raspberries, raspberry or chocolate syrup, or serve just the way it is.
Chef’s tip:
Take the sorbet 3-4 hours after placing it in the freezer. Using a spoon mix the hard (frozen) parts at the edges with the soft in the middle. Cover it with the plastic foil and the lid and place it back in the freezer until fully frozen.
